Retain Energy

Retain Energy forms part of the Retain Limited group of companies. Retain Limited, which originally started as an industrial and commercial roofing contractor in 2008, has since become the umbrella name to Retain Roofing, Retain Access, Retain Energy and Retain People.

We are headquartered in the South West in Britain’s ocean city Plymouth, however we deliver our services nation-wide. Retain Limited has a large number of former Royal Marine employees both on-site and office-based, and is proud to support the Royal Marines Charity on an ongoing basis and have been awarded the employer’s recognition Silver Award 2022.

With a wealth of knowledge and expertise throughout the business, Retain Energy was created to provide a full in-house supply and installation service for commercial solar PV systems, both roof and ground mounted. 

We are at the forefront of renewable technologies which enables businesses to reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint as well as reaping the financial benefits that come with a commercial solar PV system. From your first contact through to commissioning your chosen system, we make your going green journey as smooth as possible.

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Jamie established Retain Limited in 2008 after gaining extensive experience in the industrial and commercial roofing sector. This included being the Regional Chair for the Institute of Roofing (IoR).

DIRECTOR OF ROOFING
Don is the company director of our Retain Roofing business and manages all our industrial and commercial roofing projects and on-site teams of roofing specialists throughout the nation.

OPERATIONS MANAGER
James oversees the day-to-day running of the business and its employees. In his very busy role he also helps to facilitate the company’s rapid growth via our three-in-one service offering.

Mark oversees all marketing and communications activities across the group of businesses and actively promotes our high-quality three-in-one construction and renewable energy services.

Sam is responsible for liaising with the construction and renewable energy industry's leading manufacturers and selected suppliers, providing costings for all client and prospect project works.

GENERAL MANAGER - ENERGY
Tyrone is the General Manager of Retain Energy and runs our renewable energy arm of the business. Tyrone is responsible for managing all of our solar installation projects from start to finish.

Jamie oversees all health and safety matters across the Retain Limited group of companies, including training and memberships. He often visits our sites working closely with our operatives.

Sam works alongside the estimating team to understand client requirements and develops bid strategies that meet the needs of our clients and aligns with company goals.

As our Works Project Manager, Richard is the driving force behind ensuring projects run smoothly. He wears many hats, and his expertise is instrumental in the successful completion of our projects.

Retain Limited is incredibly proud to work closely with the Royal Marines Charity (RMA). This fantastic charitable organisation aims to provide lifetime support to the Royal Marines Family by whatever means required.

 

The RMA has grown professionally over the last few years, initially established through personal connections from our management team here at Retain Limited.

 

With many of our employees previously serving in the Royal Marines, including our Founder and Director Jamie Gibbs, we endeavour to provide employment opportunities to help other former Royal Marines re-adjust to the lifestyle of a UK civilian.

 

We also strive to help educate, train and create bespoke career pathways tailored to individual skill sets to enable and encourage a successful and fulfilling life post-service.
