Commercial Sales Manager Vacancy

Our sister company, Retain Energy, is recruiting for a commercial sales manager who has solar PV or renewable energy technology experience. Based in West Yorkshire, your area will cover the Yorkshire region and wider locations across the UK so having a full clean driving licence is essential (Car allowance provided).

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to provide solar PV solutions to the commercial market in UK.

  • Working with the director and solar division lead to source, qualify and follow up business leads
  • Meeting with prospective customers (commercial) to discuss our system offerings, answer their queries and propose quotes, etc.
  • Updating client information on the company CRM and ensuring systems are maintained
  • Working with the design and installation team to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • To act as a brand ambassador at all times and look out for new opportunities within the marketplace

Skills and Requirements:

  • For this role, you must have 2 years minimum experience working within the renewable energy market, especially solar PV. Knowledge of renewable heating technologies, EV charging, LED Lighting and other systems is highly advantageous
  • Confident and experienced in quoting for solar PV systems and projects is key to this role
  • A strong understanding of optimised solar PV systems
  • You will have professional communication skills and be able to lead face to face meetings comfortably with private and commercial clients and liaise effectively via phone and email
  • Strong business acumen is needed for this role. You’ll be given a financial target to achieve therefore knowledge and understanding of how to set up your sales strategy and execute this is important
  • You’ll be consultative and really enjoy guiding people through the process, naturally willing to support your clients and customers with any questions about solar or renewable technology they may have
  • Strong IT skills

In return for your experience and skills, you’ll receive a basic salary of £25 - £30K, DOE, a generous commission scheme which could increase your earnings up to £80K or more. You’ll also receive a car allowance and other benefits such as a pension.

Working from our office in Bradford, your working hours will be Monday to Friday 09:00–17:00 with no weekend work.
